This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.  The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future.  The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

• Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on AM or PM shifts, as assigned.
• Provide all guests with a warm, prompt, and professional welcome.
• Escort and seat guests at their tables, providing menus and orienting them to the dining experience.
• Take reservations by phone and in person, providing clear and accurate information.
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready before seating guests.
• Maintain an updated station rotation plan and seating flow.
• Organize and maintain the host podium area in impeccable condition.
• Support service by offering water, bread, and accompaniments as needed.
• Collaborate with the team in clearing dishes and pre-bussing tables.
• Fold napkins and prepare service materials to ensure availability throughout the day.
• Restock stations with necessary supplies before, during, and after each shift.
• Handle special guest requests with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency.
• Support servers and other team members whenever operational needs require.

Qualifications

• Must be fully bilingual, with the ability to speak, write, and read in English and Spanish.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills, with a genuine commitment to providing outstanding service.
• Must have knowledge of and proficiency in using computer and tablet systems.
• Comply with all hotel policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of customer service and the ability to manage fluctuations in business volume.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, regardless of operational volume.
• Must maintain an impeccable and professional appearance at all times, including, but not limited to, appropriate makeup, professional hairstyle, and proper attire.

• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, and twist.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move merchandise and/or work tools weighing 50–80 pounds using appropriate transportation equipment.
• Ability to smile, speak, listen, and interact with others throughout the duration of the shift.
