Overview:

The Night Manager is responsible for Front Desk operations on the overnight shift, while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. He/she is also responsible for maximizing room revenue and occupancy and running night audit and accounting reports.

Duties (not limited to):

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to staff. Assign and instruct front desk clerks in details of work. Observes performance and encourages improvement.

• Handle late check-ins, early check-outs, and guest inquiries in a prompt manner.
• Monitor security systems and respond to emergencies to ensure guests and staff safety.
• Manage and coordinate the night shift staff, including front desk agents and housekeeping personnel.
• Perform nightly financial audits, reconcile accounts, and prepare necessary reports.

Qualifications:

• Two years combined with prior supervisor/ management experience at front desk, night audit.
• Hospitality, orientation to detail, Computer, Complex Math Skills.
• Ability to effectively deal with guests and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• Proactive, problem solver and decision-making, customer service skills.
• Marriott systems would be a plus.
• Ability to read, listens, and communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work some PM schedules
