JOB SUMMARY
As the local, on property sales contact for customers, the Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting and handling all revenue-related opportunities in a sale. Actively upsells each business opportunity to maximize all revenue opportunities. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals for hotel. Ensures business is turned over properly and in timely fashion for proper service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for corporate, group, and individual clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and sales reports to clients and management.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, outside sales calls and community functions to promote the hotel.
- Collaborate with the catering and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong closing skills, understands feature and benefit selling
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
