Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and day-to-day functionality of the hotels building, grounds, mechanical systems, and equipment. From guest rooms to public areas, you ensure everything works as it should, minimizing downtime and maximizing guest comfort. This role includes troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

As a Maintenance Technician, You Will:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hotel systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (e.g., room care programs, pool maintenance).
Respond to guest room and departmental maintenance requests with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
Maintain the hotels exterior and curb appeal, including landscaping, painting, and small repairs.
Keep mechanical rooms and workspaces safe, clean, and organized.
Use hand and power tools with care, tracking inventory of materials and parts.
Complete maintenance logs and work orders in accordance with company standards.
Assist with emergencies and help other team members as needed.
Follow all hotel policies, safety protocols, and brand standards.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and courteous attitude at all times.

Safely operate a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
Adjust HVAC and plumbing systems as needed for guest comfort.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
Ensure pool chemicals are properly balanced and filtration systems are functioning.
Address safety concerns or hazards immediately and notify management.
Uphold appearance standards and cleanliness of all maintenance areas.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Prior experience in hotel, apartment, or facility maintenance highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
General knowledge of all maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
Skilled in using standard tools, safety equipment, and diagnostic tools.
Ability to follow safety procedures, emergency protocols, and lockout/tagout systems.
Familiarity with mechanical systems, pool maintenance, and energy-efficient practices.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Comfortable interacting with guests and resolving issues with professionalism.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, crawling, and walking long distances.
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, or confined environments.
Visual and auditory ability to detect signs of emergency.
Dexterity and strength to handle tools, machinery, and physical repairs.
