A pool bar server's job primarily involves providing efficient and friendly food and beverage service to guests at a pool bar. They take orders, serve drinks and food, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining a clean and organized service area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting guests and taking orders:
    Welcome guests, present menus, and accurately take food and beverage orders.
  • Serving food and drinks:
    Deliver orders promptly and courteously to guests, ensuring they are satisfied with their service.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized service area:
    Keep the poolside or bar area clean and tidy, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
  • Handling payments and transactions:
    Process payments and accurately charge bills to member accounts or guest rooms.
  • Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff:
    Work efficiently with other staff to ensure smooth service and meet guest needs.
  • Promoting menu items and specials:
    Upsell menu items and daily specials to increase sales.
  • Ensuring health and safety:
    Follow all health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
Qualifications:
  • Communication skills:Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Customer service experience:Prior experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage:Familiarity with food and beverage menus, preparation methods, and serving standards.
  • Age requirements:Must be of legal drinking age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Physical requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and lift light objects, as well as reach and stoop.
  • Cleanliness and hygiene:Adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Fundamentals

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required. One year of server experience is helpful. Successful TIPs training and the ability to use POS systems is expected. This position requires full mobility, continuous quick-paced movement, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds and pushing food carts up to 100 pounds.
