This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.  The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future.  The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

Dining Room Flow & Maintenance

• Table Resets: Clear, clean, and sanitize tables immediately after guests depart. Reset tables according to brand standards for the next seating.
• Speed of Service: Maintain a sense of urgency to ensure a high turnover of tables while minimizing noise and disruption to current guests.
• Floor Cleanliness: Monitor the dining room floors for debris or spills and sweep or mop as needed to maintain safety and appearance.
• Refuse Removal: Empty trash receptacles and transport soiled linens and glassware to the appropriate cleaning stations.

Service Support

• Server Assistance: Support the service team by refilling water, clearing intermediate courses (pre-bussing), and assisting with bread service as needed.
• Stocking: Ensure side stations are fully stocked with clean glassware, silverware, linens, and condiments.
• Dish Room Liaison: Organize soiled dishes and glassware at the breakdown station to assist the dishwashing team in efficient processing.

Guest Relations

• Hospitality: Greet guests with a smile and provide polite assistance if asked for directions or basic information.
• Efficiency: Work "silently" and professionally to enhance the ambiance of the restaurant.

Qualifications

• Customer Focus: Must be motivated and demonstrate a "guest-first" mentality.
• Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions from servers and management.
• Reliability: Punctuality and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Teamwork: Works collaboratively with both Front-of-House and Back-of-House teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Constant Movement: Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours).
• Manual Dexterity: Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry heavy bus tubs or trays weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Environment: Exposure to wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
