Join the opening team at Hotel Bourre Bonne – Louisville’s only downtown luxury hotel. Hotel Bourre Bonne is seeking a Kitchen Shift Supervisor to lead our culinary operations during morning service and set the tone for the entire day.

A stylish Lobby Bar serving breakfast, lunch, and evening fare
A vibrant Rooftop Bar—the city’s newest nightlife destination on Fridays and Saturdays
Full banquet and catering facilities, including a stunning rooftop ballroom with sweeping views of downtown Louisville and the river
Newly launched In-Room Dining (IRD) service, soon to be a 24-hour operation.
Position Overview: The Kitchen Shift Supervisor will take the lead on daily morning kitchen operations property-wide, ensuring smooth openings and exceptional culinary execution across multiple outlets. This role is ideal for a strong working leader who thrives in dynamic, high-volume, multi-outlet environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the daily opening of all kitchen operations including Room Service, Lobby Bar breakfast, and the coffee counter.
Ensure staffing coverage for the day, addressing call-outs and schedule adjustments in real time.
Act as expeditor during peak service periods to maintain quality and pace.
Communicate with senior culinary leadership regarding purchasing needs, staffing concerns, and operational updates.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with cooks to train, coach, and mentor team members, providing feedback and escalating disciplinary concerns as needed.
Conduct health and safety walkthroughs, ensuring compliance with all health department standards and internal SOPs.
Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications:
2+ years of supervisory or lead cook experience in a hotel, fine dining, or multi-outlet environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and lead service in a fast-paced environment.
ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.
Early morning availability and flexibility required.
