Job Summary
- Responsible for merchant processing operations within portfolio

Apply for Merchant IDs and gateway accounts
- Work closely with IT / treasury / corporate operations / legal
- Set up Sertifi accounts, ensuring properties are utilizing these accounts
- Knowledge IRS reporting requirements for transactions processed through Merchant Accounts
- Communicating and understanding each properties needs to appropriately set up Merchant accounts
- Responsible for KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification checks, responding within a timely manner with the appropriate documentation to avoid IRS Tax Withholding
- Keeping all departments updated for any delays in upcoming transitions for boarding Merchant IDs, monitoring that we are receiving funds once transitioned
- Providing IT with any required information to ensure PCI compliance on merchant accounts
- Understanding of merchant regulations for different card types (VISA/MC/AMEX/Discover)
- Relationship management with credit card processors and gateway providers

Knowledge of hotel Brand Standards and processing restrictions
- Knowledge of different hotel PMS/POS systems processing restrictions that apply for different systems
- Strong knowledge of payment processing systems and industry regulations

Coordinate with IT on end-of-life credit card devices to order/install/configure as needed
- Staying compliant with EMV (chip and pin) implementations
- Assist accounting department / properties in researching any discrepancies in deposited funds
- Serve as point of contact for hotels regarding their merchant accounts/services, addressing inquiries and resolving problems

Serve as point of contact for merchant processors if regulations are not being followed at the property and in violation of the merchant agreements
- Notify property and appropriate contacts to resolve and stay in compliance
- Record/Track Merchant IDs for corresponding properties/systems maintain records

Prepare for onboarding and off boarding properties
- Apply for new or coordinate transferring banking/authorized contacts with merchants
- Closing Merchant IDs not in use to avoid additional fees

Ensure appropriate property contacts are set up with merchant/gateway credentials
- Including access to respond to chargebacks
- Ensure corporate and third-party accounting credentials are updated with new Merchant IDs as needed
- Prepare Credit Card direction letters for applicable refinancing properties to submit to Merchant Processors
Ensuring deposits/debits are flowing in/out of appropriate accounts with any bank account changes
