Are you a proven convenience store or retail leader ready to take the next step in your career? Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a driven, results oriented General Manager to lead our Conoco Convenience Store and Fuel Operations. This role is ideal for an experienced manager who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and is motivated by accountability, growth, and operational excellence.

As the Conoco General Manager, you will have full responsibility for store performance people, profit, and guest experience while gaining the support, resources, and career development opportunities of an established hospitality management company.

What You’ll Do

People Leadership

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing store team

  • Create effective schedules that ensure appropriate coverage and labor efficiency

  • Motivate employees through clear expectations, performance feedback, and accountability

  • Address employee relations matters professionally and consistently

Financial & Business Management

  • Own the store’s financial performance, including budgeting and profitability

  • Monitor sales, expenses, and labor to ensure financial targets are met

  • Oversee cash handling, banking procedures, and accurate financial reporting

Inventory & Merchandising

  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing shrink and waste

  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and merchandising of products

  • Implement and maintain strong inventory control practices

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a consistently positive, clean, and welcoming guest experience

  • Resolve customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally

  • Ensure store standards are maintained at all times

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards

  • Maintain store equipment, facilities, and safety programs

  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues

Sales Growth & Local Marketing

  • Execute local marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase sales

  • Analyze sales trends to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Actively seek ways to grow revenue and improve margins

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For
  • Prior management experience in convenience stores, grocery, retail, or fuel operations strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success leading teams and managing store-level financials

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)

  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure

  • Comfortable using computers and retail software systems

  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
